Yes, I did read

LXQt will be broken the next few days

http://forum.siduction.org/index.php?topic=5762.0

And NO - I have not even upgraded my important LXQT machine running Siduction.  However -

I did a standard dist-upgrade to my Sparkylinux LXQT  and several things do not work.  System is an atom netbook and 32 bit, but one result is no panel.

So, my advice is that if you depend on data and programs  on an LXQY machine, do not upgrade.  I will post when dist-upgrade gets me back to a functional LXQT, hopefully in less than a week.

peace out,

The gcc++ dist-upgrade  went smoothly and  (for me) lxqt has the lxqt panel back functioning and the standard keybindings are back.

A lot more usage of Tier 1 (Qt - no kde code) KF5 libraries.  Possibly some more bumps down the road a ways when lxqt goes to xfwm4 and loses openbox. That is not in the near future.   xfwm4 is planned to be compatible with wayland and openbox will probably not be compatible.    peace out
