I am using Debian for many years and tried to respin it for Chinese Linux newbie. I respined it from Linux Mint Debian, MX Linux and now Sparky Linux, all with Mate Desktop environment. Because LMDE 3 delaied too long, and it still lack respin tool, so I give it up now.
There are two major respin Linux distributions on hand, MX 17 and Sparky 4. Here are some sanpshot of the two:

I think Sparky is faster and save more system resource then MX on Mate, but MX's ISO snapshot is more powerful. I replaced 'Sparky Backup System' with 'refractasnapshot' for it claims:
Refracta Snapshot creates a bootable live-CD image which is a copy of
your running system. Any changes you make to the running system,
including desktop preferences, configuration changes, or added software
will be copied to the snapshot and will be present when you run that
snapshot as a live system.
But I almost break my system and the ISO can't be installed sometimes. Maybe the Sparky team can consider such tool to make it's ISO build more powerful. I remenber 'remastersys' can preserve user setting when I respin LMDE.
