Hey Sparky community! I was wondering how SparkyLinux handles oldstable releases. Like, what would happen to Orion Belt after Seven Sisters releases? Would it keep getting .x updates, does it still update as normal and follow the 3 year of normal support and 2 year LTS support like Debian does, and would it follow Bookworm and what it does? Or would Orion Belt kinda just be gone when Seven Sisters releases? Thank you so much.

testing 'seven sister' become stable soon -> will be supported to ~August 2030
stable 'orion belt' become oldstable -> supported 5 years to June 2028
oldstable 'po tolo' become oldoldstable -> supported 5 years to August 2026

all it happens after trixie become stable.

Is there like an LTS kinda thing for the last two years like Debian or is it just normal support for 5 years?

its the same as Debian's support: 3 years + 2 years of LTS = 5 years

I found we don't need support for any Linux OS.. They work just fine the way they are without updates.. They sure don't suddenly go bad and quit working when update support has run-out, same as meds don't suddenly go bad after the expiry date.. An expert druggist and drugstore meds supplier informed me that most meds are good for at least 25-years, that it's only a few of the liquid vitamins and meds that go weak in a short time.. Don't worry if support has stopped in a Linux OS.. It still works like it did before support stopped... We are too condition that expiry dates mean the end of something... Updates and expiry dates are a scam...
