Hi,
I am new to this forum.

Lately, I mounted a XFX Radeon RX 6650 XT graphics card.
Now the display on my screen is "creepy".
I wanted to install the driver "amdgpu-install_5.7.50702-1_all.deb" using amdgpu-install.
But all I get is the response: "Unsupported OS: /etc/os-release ID 'sparky'"
When trying to install amdgpu entries from the synaptic repos, I keep getting error messages that the jobs can not be completed.

Has anybody any idea on what to do about that?

Hints and answers are very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thank you.
Here is what inxi -b releases:
Kernel: 6.6.5-sparky-amd64 x86_64 bits: 64
  Desktop: Cinnamon 4.8.6 Distro: SparkyLinux 6.7 (Po-Tolo)

I think its about my modification of the os-release file, so...
Edit it as root:
sudo nano /usr/lib/os-releaseand change the line:
ID=sparkyto:
ID=debianthen save the file and try to install your deb package again.

Thanks a lot.
I proceeded like you suggested. That did not solve the problem. But there are less error messages when booting sparky.
When I go 'amdgpu-install' there is a lot of action in the terminal, but in the end it displays a message that the job could not be completed successfully.
By the way, I installed liquorix kernel via APTus which has not changed anything on the visible plane either.
Next I will try and boot with USB sticks. I will try sparky and manjaro.
