Hello,

I have installed the rolling edition (2021.03 x86_64/amd64) of Sparky Linux  LXQt to my PC.

After the system updates, I have tried to install the Lumina Desktop Environment via Synaptic Package Manager
but it encountered error with the following messages:

Package lumina-desktop has no available version, but exists in the database.
This typically means that the package was mentioned in a dependency and never uploaded, has been obsoleted or is not available with the contents of sources.list

I have also tried installing it via apt-get but still it failed with the following messages:

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
lumina-desktop : Depends: libxcb-util0 (>= 0.3.8) but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Installing via APTus also failed with these messages:

Something is wrong! Probably you have stopped the installation, or your internet connection is broken, or the package is not availabel for you system version. Check it out and try again.

On the current stable release of Sparky Linux LXQt 5.14, I was able to install Lumina Desktop Environment.
However, this one is not the latest and so I decided to install the rolling release of Sparky Linux LXQt as this
is shipped with updated Qt5 libraries.

The Synaptic Package Manager of the rolling release shows that the Lumina Desktop Environment I wish to install
is updated as its version is 1.6.0 which is the latest release from its author. But sadly, I cannot install this.

How could I fix this problem?
What I want now is to install the latest Lumina Desktop Environment.

I would highly appreciate any help. Thanks.

Dependencies changed in Bullseye.
Have to rebuild Lumina, stay tuned.

Done. Lumina and Draco desktops updated.
Refresh package list and try again.

Thank you very much.

I have tried it, and now, it installed successfully without any problems.
I'm now logged in to my second desktop which is Lumina and I like the new look and feel of this updated environment.

Hopefully, there would be another live ISO with Lumina as its main desktop environment including extra applications like those
in LXQt ISO such as complete LibreOffice Suite, gcc and g++ compilers, text editor and many more.
