hello,
I am a new user of linux and a new user of SparkyLinux which works on an old computer of 2002.

It works well  and it is nice to use but I want to see the USB HD which is plugged on my router and see a pc with Windows 10.

I installed Samba

When I write (found on a forum about Samba)   smbclient -L\\\pascallinux -U pascal (pascallinux is the name of the pc with Linux and pascal is the user)

I have :

WARNING: The "syslog" option is deprecated
Enter pascal's password:

PASCALLINUX          Samba 4.5.6-Debian

   Workgroup            Master
WORKGROUP            BRCM-LVG

On Windows I can see the HD under BCRM-LVG and the local Windows is WORKGROUP

I have read that I have to use the file /etc/samba/smb.conf but it is too hard for me.

Sorry for my English, I am french

If your file browser is pcmanfm, then Windows Volume and all external volumes should be automatically mounted and seen in the pcmanfm side tab provided you configure pcmanfm to show external media.  Do this by selecting "Edit" in pcmanfm's upper tab and then following Edit>Preferences>VolumeManagement and checking the first 3 boxes.
