My Sparky installation has been tracking Debian SID and I noticed that most of the XFCE 4.10 packages have been upgraded to XFCE 4.12 this morning.. :)
Will be coming to Sparky tracking the default (Debian Testing) repos in about two weeks.

gene@sparky:~$ inxi -F
System:    Host: sparky Kernel: 4.0.0-towo.1-siduction-amd64 x86_64 (64 bit)
           Desktop: Xfce 4.12.1
           Distro: SparkyLinux Tyche

Came here to post a howto (I 've been using 4.12 on sparky couple months) getting meta (easy way ;D) from experimental then using the 'kdebian org repo' (a sid repo) to keep upgraded

BUT
changing sparky to sid is easy (especially because they kindly included the repo (in apt/source.list.d') :-*

The package 'xfce4' (meta) in sid still don't like me!  But upgrading 4.10 to 4.12 with sid works great

Using the openbox 4.0 RC and getting xfce4.10 (from testing) and upgrading with 'sid'  (work great 8)

P.S. kdebian repo does have the 'thunar-dropbox plugin tho!

No need to go to SID anymore. :) Sparky offically has the 4.12 version of Xfce. :)

Beat me :D

came into possession of a new (to me ;D) touch screen all-in-one (type that the screen has pc built behind and bluetooth keyboard and mouse) and going the openbox RC to Xfce route.
Like the 'liquorix kernel' (?) and just happened to see where Xfce was in stretch (before going to 'sid'.   SURPRISE  8)

Does the touchscreen work?  I have a Samsung all-in-one win 8 pc that I use as a monitor for this Sparky Linux PC.  Might be interesting to dual boot the Samsung just to mess around with various distros that interest me.

I've been trying to stabilize everything on an ASUS T100TA (tablet/netbook hybrid with Windows 8.1) and the touchscreen works quite well, although it's more like browsing a web page that isn't touchscreeen-friendly (you still get the sensation that your touchscreen gestures are translated into mouse events). A few other things still don't work or require additional firmware (wifi, sound, backlight support), but overall it's usable. :)
