Title: handbrake incomplete install
Post by: solar10 on September 14, 2025, 09:01:14 PM
Hello,
I installed handbrake from APTus but it didn't show up in the start menu.
So I tried to reinstall it from terminal but till, it does not appear in the menu.
root@ASUS970:~# apt install --reinstall handbrake
Summary:

  Download size: 0 B / 52.5 kB
  Space needed: 0 B / 224 GB available

(Reading database ... 323004 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to unpack .../handbrake_1%3a1.9.2-dmo1+deb13u2_all.deb ...
Unpacking handbrake (1:1.9.2-dmo1+deb13u2) over (1:1.9.2-dmo1+deb13u2) ...
Setting up handbrake (1:1.9.2-dmo1+deb13u2) ...
I have it running on my other Sparky installs and IIRC, there should be more libs to be installed which I do not see here.
I am on Sparky 8.

it cant be incomplete installation, it comes from debian repos, so all the libs you already had installed before.
