Title: A few mp3 files titles are a series of little boxes..?
Post by: Dragonspirit on August 05, 2025, 04:43:39 AM
What does it mean when the title names of the first few mp3's in a large folder of mp3's are a row of little code boxes?.. Does that indicate that the mp3 file is malware corrupt..?

no that's unicode. copy + paste the filename into firefox or google to see the missing characters.

Or you could do like I do, and use https://www.fourmilab.ch/webtools/unum/

also I am the author of this renaming script that works like `detox` https://github.com/kanliot/foulnames

It's very useful, especially if your filename contains newlines and stuff.
