Title: LXDE replaced by LXQt on stable
Post by: pccobbler on July 22, 2019, 11:19:37 PM
I read the release notes for 5.8, but it did not include any news of LXDE being replaced by LXQt on stable, which is now the case for downloads. I have an existing LXDE stable system. What does the future hold? Will my desktop be changed to LXQt in the future?

I ask because I like LXQt except for one major problem, the duplication of settings, especially themes, leading to contradictory situations. I will admit I have not installed a Sparky LXQt system yet, but other LXQt systems had this problem.

It will not be replaced, simply keep your Sparky installation up to date.
