Title: Hello from Florida
Post by: johnnyc on June 26, 2019, 02:19:42 AM
Hello All,
Got Sparky on a DVD with Linux Format magazine. I'm  pretty new at this and have used Ubuntu for a year or two. Have to say that Sparky for me has been faster, lighter and runs very well on an older IBM Thinkcentre PC.
I had a lot of problems every time Ubuntu changed versions and I had to roll back to a previous version for a few weeks before the newest version would run/start consistently.

Hope to learn here and offer what little help I can when called upon :-)

John

PS My first computer was a 486 Pentium 75 with a huge 8MB of ram (yes MB not GB)

My first computer was a Commodore 64 with 64K (not megs and not gigs) of memory.
Yes, Sparky seems to have a very snappy response, sparky and spritely (pun intended).  I only stumbled upon it this year, and wish others would.
