hi i was recently using Sparky with bare openbox. I suggest little thing: Tint2 menu button with xdotool. Looks good for beginners. But when using with obmenugenerator its little bit slow, for fix i changed obmenugenerator static. For tutorial https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Tint2
