Title: Kernel panic on first boot of sparkylinux 4.3 Gameover edition
Post by: LosButch on May 26, 2016, 11:20:48 PM
Dear all,

I just installed Sparky Linux 4.3 Gameover edition. What a nice installer compared to Ubuntu! I did however run into a kernel panic on the first boot of the installed system. I've taken a screenshot that illustrates it here:

https://www.skyfish.com/sh/5a9cf8ded4804a828bedec278ce919f731d5c819/39a90524/517123/19316550

The only reference I could find to the error was in the Debian forums - something about microcode now compiled in the kernel, and not a module anymore. And that's why it cannot find it.

How do I install a kernel that works from the live CD?

Thanks,
Troels

did you try safe mode
Did you install UEFI or MBR?
