Title: Using the stable repository for Security Updates
Post by: sjohri on May 26, 2016, 02:02:26 AM
Thank you for an awesome distribution.  I have been using Sparky on my desktop / laptop at home for the past month and have found it to be really nice.  While reading up on Debian's Testing Branch, I read that Security Updates are delayed in reaching the Test Repositories.  I included the stable Security Repositories in Synaptic and have been through a couple of update cycles without any issue so far.  Am I playing with fire? Do you foresee any issue with this type of a setup?  If the updates are configured to look for the most recent packages, would this help get the security updates quicker?

Thanks again.
