Title: installing sparky to uefi capable laptop using bios legacy boot
Post by: makipe on December 27, 2015, 09:48:48 PM
Sparky 64 bit version was the first one which didnt give me choice to boot without uefi, the installer insisted to where to place /boot/efi. And when I replaced the installeg grub boot loader with my used one, the boot loader of course didnt boot uefi enabled Sparky.

I did the second installation ( using trial and error method ) by using old installer from the menu of the live installation. And this old installer didnt hassle with uefi.
Booting with success. And also the other previous 9 other linux distros.

I believe I am not the only linux user, who has several linux os in the hard disk and not all of them are uefi booting system capable and so bios legacy and non uefi installation is the accustomed one.

Just my 2 cents ( europe ones ) to include non uefi installation choice to the newer installer.

Anyway. Sparky seems to be really nice distro. And I like to test and use this testing repository enabled ( rolling version ) distribution.
