Title: What happened to backgrounds?
Post by: jeffneedle on December 22, 2015, 06:45:42 PM
Using the latest Sparky, downloaded yesterday, 64-bit, XFCE desktop.  I was dismayed to learn that you've eliminated all backgrounds.  Why did you do this?

I installed both the gnome and mate backgrounds from the repositories, and they sit correctly in /usr/share/backgrounds.  But they are not accessible from the desktop.  I try to set one of the backgrounds as my desktop, but they're all grayed out!  You can't get to them.

Seems so silly to me to make this so difficult.  Is there some easy way to get a better background than the plain blue one that I'm stuck with?  Other than this. Sparky is a great distro -- very light and fast.  Much appreciated.

Just cleaning old stuff, it's nothing special.
But I'm gonna make a Wallpaper page so you could download what you like.
It'll be ready in a few days.
