Package: nvidia-kernel-dkms
Version: 525.85.12-1
Severity: important
X-Debbugs-Cc: kscott.tripp@gmail.com

Dear Maintainer,

I cannot install nvidia-driver, as that depends on nvidia-kernel-dkms
(this package), which in turn depends on firmware-nvidia-gsp-525.85.12,
which is missing.

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 nvidia-kernel-dkms : Depends: firmware-nvidia-gsp (= 525.85.12) but it is not installable or
firmware-nvidia-gsp-525.85.12 but it is not installable

Thanks,
Scott

The firmware-nvidia-gsp package is moved from non-free to non-free-firmware

Add the non-free-firmware repository and try again

Please enable the new non-free-firmware archive section in addition to
non-free in your apt sources configuration.

@KiBi: Is there some announcement about non-free-firmware I could refer
to? Should apt (or some other package) show a debconf warning (once) if
it finds bookworm/testing/unstable/sid/experimental with non-free but
not non-free-firmware enabled in sources.list[.d]? Enabling that
automatically in this case would be not trivial ...

I've spent my time bootstrapping stuff and figuring out what others
wanted to do, so there's no official announcement yet. See those merge
requests for ongoing work:

Thanks everyone,

I had not seen those bookworm release notes yet, so enabling
non-free-firmware solved the problem.
