Title: Two things
Post by: NGIB on June 05, 2014, 02:45:37 PM
I have Sparky Live USB image writer. It was a part of the 'old' installer before, but I can separate it and make independent deb package.

USB formatter is a good idea, I will try to do something with that.

I have not had a lot of success with USB creators that format the stick in other than Fat32 and use dd to write the file.  The Mint programs format the stick by default to Fat32 and I do not know how they write the ISO to the USB stick - works every time though...

The first of the two packages - Live USB Creator is in our repo now.

Refresh package list and install 'sparky-live-usb-creator'.

It's a small GUI for 'dd' tool.
