Title: Date and time wrong
Post by: jeffneedle on November 24, 2016, 02:17:36 AM
Hi.  Using Sparky, downloaded an hour ago, XFCE version.

Although I set the time zone to America/Los Angeles when installing, the date and time are incorrect in the panel.  It's nine hours ahead.  How do I fix this so that I have the correct date and time?  Thanks.

search engine would probably get it just as fast
In a terminal - as root or via sudo
dpkg-reconfigure tzdata

BTW is you bios set to UTC or local time.

Worked like magic -- thanks!  Not sure how my time is set, per your question, but I'll live with the fix.  Many thanks!
