Title: cd drive Mount
Post by: butch on December 17, 2013, 09:06:07 PM
Hey,

I just installed the current E17 Sparky, and my cdrom drive won't mount automatically.

Is that an E17 problem or an bug with this distribution? (external HDD works fine)

I used E17 a few days on my (old and pure) squeeze before I install sparkley, but I can't remember this behavior.

best regards

Hi

It should display an icon of CD/DVD media on the desktop only.

I don't think it mounts CD/DVD automatically.

Not sure if same in E17...

In mate,Xfce4 or LXDE I use the package 'udisks-glue'

once installed can run 'udisks-glue' in terminal, if works for your auto-mounting needs (CD/DVD icon popup on desktop) then can put command in the auto start list/apps (its a daemon so runs constantly)

In E17 , Settings > Settings Panel > Tab Files option File Manage.
