Simply 'apt-get upgrade' could be better than 'apt-get dist-upgrade' waitng for all the changes will be done.
Hi Pavroo,
Thanks for warning us about this update. That's funny because I just installed : "ffmulticonverter 1.6 Stable" on one of my other Linux distributions (wattOS R-9 based on Ubuntu 14.04).
I used this thread to do so : http://askubuntu.com/questions/457685/i-cannot-find-the-ff-multi-converter-for-ubuntu-14-04-lts. Now I know I've got to be careful when upgrading wattOS !
I was planning on installing that mighty video-converter "ffmulticonverter 1.6 Stable" on my SparkyLinux distro too because it's got more tweaks than Avidemus. Wonder if this is a good idea because SparkyLinux remains my favourite distribution among all others ?
I have upgraded one of my Sparky installations today and...
To fix that problem, you should do:
Remove 'libasound2-plugins' package.
sudo apt-get remove libasound2-plugins
sudo apt-get autoremove
If you have 'libasound2-plugins:i386' package installed on 64bit system - remove it too.
This operation will remove skype (only) as well if skype is installed.
sudo apt-get remove libasound2-plugins:i386
sudo apt-get autoremove
After that, I made standard full upgrade and everything looks ok:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Edit
It removes pulseaudio and pavucontrol so install them back after.
Edit 2
Looks like 'skype' can't be installed back - it depends on 'libasound2-plugins' which can't be installed - broken dependencies.
