Title: "Desktop manager is not active" error when launching Desktop Preferences

I installed yesterday SparkyLinux 3.5 Razor-Qt i486 on a laptop and I got error like n the subject when trying to run 'Desktop Settings' from Preferences menu.

I noticed that the same thing happens when running Sparky from as live distro.

Therefore it's impossible to add any icons to desktop.

Any ideas?

It happens because the option can be used to change the desktop preferences in LXDE.
The menu entry called "Desktop preferences" has been installed as a part of PCManFM.
To change your desktop prefs use Razor Desktop Configuration from menu-> Preferences-> Razor-Qt Settings.
So I have to hide the menu entry in a next release or change the file manager.
