Title: <SOLVED> Live ISO vs UEFI.
Post by: nemomen on July 03, 2021, 08:19:01 AM
Hello Sparkers,
just a little question:
OS: SparkyLinux 5.15 Nibiru Xfce 64-bit.
PT: GPT.
BIOS settings: full UEFI settings.
Can I boot to my above PC the SparkyLinux Live ISO USB anyway, without any changes in BIOS settings and in others, please.
Thanks in advance.

Yes you can but you need to make a new partition of fat32 named /boot/efi and set it's flag as boot.

Hi, I've tried to boot UEFI/Secure Boot and could not manage without disabling Secure Boot in BIOS.
But, after the installation, I've rebooted into Bios, enabled Secure Boot, and the computer boot Sparky without problems.
Hope this helps!

Hello all of you,
SparkyLinux 5.15 Nibiru sid stable Xfce 64-bit GPT PT with UEFI boot.
I have tried to use the installation by UEFI/GPT and it looks work. But I have to note I was forced to set up the BIOS UEFI First instead of UEFI only. With UEFI only the PC does not boot.
Thanks for your support.
Brgds
