Title: (SOLVED) Desktop icons
Post by: rmockler on December 20, 2016, 10:39:15 PM
I would like to remove the icons from my desktop.  Can someone suggest the way to do this?
Thank you, rmockler

Can`t you just right click on them and choose delete? Which version of Sparky are you using?

I'm using the current version, 64 bit.  The icons I'm referring to are Computer, Home folder and Trash.  They are not removable by right clicking, but I have found the answer. I went to Synaptic and installed dconf-editor.  I ran it from the terminal and was able to remove the icons. Now I have a clean desktop.

Good to hear that you figured it out. I know the feeling of a clean desktop. :)
