hi all
anyone has difficulties activating google hangouts?

i', runnign sparky 64 bits, i have installed the google plugin, even google chrome. done anything i could
but now each time i go on google settings and click on the chat - verify settings
the place where the webcam video should be contains "A plugin is needed to display this content".. really no clue what it's looking for

You probably have tried the official hangouts plugin but if not....?

Sorry I don't know how to post links on this forum.

I don't have a cam on my sparky PC to try it. However if I try to initiate a chat from within Gmail webpage using Iceweasel browser it prompts me for the plugin.
Other than that maybe try Chromium or Iceweasel instead of Chrome?

i've tried to download the plugin again..
funny thing is that seamoney tells me I need a plugin in the square where the camera images should appear, and mic seems to record
chrome just tells me nothing at all about the video and audio settings
