Hello, I have installed Sparky 7.1 with wine 8.0.x but I miss some functions of wine. How can I install (forced or not) wine 8.1 or wine 8.2?

Wow Pavroo, you updated UC to the latest version very fast! Regarding the standby mode, I wanted other users to know (it works for me) that the standby mode is available now from the screensaver panel (and choose the mode "blank screen only" or the one they like) and not from the power management panel (the same in Sparky 6.7) if they can't get any suspension for their pc/laptop using the power management's settings.

Hi Pavroo,

Ungoogled Chromium stable version 118.0.5993.70-1 doesn't show in updating packages, is there a problem on Sparkylinux 7.1 with this version? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hi everyone

Yesterday I updated Sparky to 7.1 Mate orion Belt kernel 6.1 0 13-amd64 Apple iMac 2010

The install itself ran fine and Sparky ran well for about 10 minutes
I had Firefox browser open and it began to spawn non stop duplicate browser windows
The Space key locked itself in repeat mode and ran wild/keyboard locked up

System then became un-responsive and I had to do a hard shutdown

On reboot, (several tries) I got a boot error stating the encrypted disk could not be found
Tried several work-arounds and suggestions on here but had no luck                     
Had to erase and re install Sparky from scratch,as Grub Boot would not repair

Luckily I could run a Live Sparky from a USB and retrieve files from the hard disk before doing an new install

I am still getting the occasional runaway Space bar cursor problem, using a newish mechanical keyboard that otherwise works fine
Not much fun,but at least I am up and running again!

The thing is till 2 days ago I could disable the screensaver and get the notebook suspended using the power management then suddenly some update must have changed something and now it is not possible to get the laptop in standby mode if you do not set the same minutes in the screensaver panel...I had posted another question last Friday on Ungoogled Chromium not being updated to the the latest version even updating packages, any news?

Sparky applications / AdGuard Home DNS with SparkyLi...

My AdGuardHome Guide:

-> Download AdGuardHome  AdGuardHome_linux_arm64.tar.gz
(https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdGuardHome/releases)

-> Move folder to /opt
Open terminal in unzipped folder.
sudo mv ./AdGuardHome /opt

-> Install AdGuardHome:
 -> sudo /opt/AdGuardHome/AdGuardHome -s install

-> Create the /etc/systemd/resolved.conf.d directory, if necessary:
       sudo mkdir -p /etc/systemd/resolved.conf.d
Deactivate DNSStubListener and update DNS server address. To do that, create a new file, /etc/systemd/resolved.conf.d/adguardhome.conf, with the following content: sudo nano /etc/systemd/resolved.conf.d/adguardhome.conf
[Resolve]
DNS=127.0.0.1-
DNSStubListener=no
    • Specifying 127.0.0.1 as DNS server address is necessary because otherwise the nameserver will be 127.0.0.53 which doesn't work without DNSStubListener.
    • Activate another resolv.conf file:
sudo mv /etc/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf.backup
sudo ln -s /run/systemd/resolve/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf

-> Restart SparkyLinux

-> Open 127.0.0.0 in browser and start quick installation.
http://127.0.0.0/
http://127.0.0.1/
http://127.0.0.1:3000

#Done

Settings for example:
Upstream-DNS-Server: https://family.adguard-dns.com/dns-query
Fallback-DNS-Server: tls://family.adguard-dns.com
Bootstrap-DNS-Server: 94.140.14.15 94.140.15.16
Private inverse DNS-Server: 192.168.1.1
(Info: adguard-dns.io/de/public-dns.html)

#Set all option enable if you want (General Settings & DNS Settings | Encryption Settings not necessary)

#Now you can creating DNS-Rules for blocking.

Browser Mullvad or Firefox:
DNS over HTTPS: Maximum protection -> https://xxxxxxxx.d.adguard-dns.com/dns-query (Get your private link from adguard-dns.io account)

If you want to delete:
sudo rm /etc/systemd/system/AdGuardHome.service
sudo rm -r /opt/AdGuardHome/

Can't help with that, suspend never worked on Debian well for me, sorry.
I use hibernate instead.
