Title: I can’t move my tint2 panel to my primary screen.
Post by: ClaudiaMS on December 19, 2022, 01:43:10 PM
Hi,
I am running SparkyLinux7, Kernel 6.0.0-0 amd64, on an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U with Radeon Graphics (6) @ 2.375GHz.
My DE is Openbox with the tint2 panel. I work with the laptop screen and a monitor, the primary screen.
The screens are set up in autostart as follows:
xrandr --output eDP --mode 1920x1080 --pos 0x0 --rotate normal --output HDMI-A-0 --primary --mode 1920x1080 --pos 1920x0 --rotate normal.

This ran nicely until recently.
The only changes I made were background color changes in the tint2 panel item setting ,,Executor", when suddenly the panel moved from the primary screen to the laptop screen.
The executor asks for used RAM, thus not linked to the screens: free -h | grep Speicher: | tr -s ' '| cut -d ' ' -f 3.

Dis- and reconnecting the HDMI screen, eliminating the ,,Executor" from the tint2 panel, several restarts nothing solved the problem so far.
Does anyone have an idea how to deal with this problem?

Best, CMS

Problem solved, the screen settings in the panel geometry were somehow corrupted though I did not touch them. Strange, that.
