On Cinnamon, there's an application called Preferred Applications which allows me to set just about every default. However, on Sparky LXDE, there are only two settings, browser and mail client. Where can I set default text editor and music player?
You can right click on an audio or video (or text) file, choose Properties and choose you favorite application to open a specific type of file.
There is also:
$HOME/.config/mimeapps.list
which lets you manually set your favorite applications.
