Title: Greetings users
Post by: ionmich on August 06, 2018, 09:50:04 PM
My name is Ion and I just started using Sparky. My first serious OS was and still is Microware OS-9 running on a 6809 processor, now emulated. My first Linux was Caldera in 1997. I have older desktops and other (no names) distributions have gotten a little too fat and slow for me. I discovered Sparky in an article about distros for older computers. So far I am pleased with my decision as the problems I have come across have been largely solvable. The others (unsolved) are the reason I registered with this forum.

Yes, Caldera, 1997.  I brought in my box to the LUG (Linux Users Group) and found out that I had to also bring in my monitor.  RedHat might have been easier, but I wanted Caldera for WordPerfect.  Welcome.  What DE?
