cat /etc/fstab
It's a file that contains instructions for the system related to auto-mounting partitions. (You can find out more information by doing an online search.) If the entries in this file are wrong, it can actually prevent the system from booting or make it really slow.inxi --swap
If you decide you want to set up and enable a swap partition or file, you can also find info online about how to do that. Those are all the ideas I can think of for now; hope they'll be helpful in some way.
