Search engines?  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackbox    Lot more support for it's cousin fluxbox.     VSIDO

I did have fluxbox on a sparky Asus EEE (the origina EEE)  for a few months -  wiped and  ... xfce4  ... presently 11 y.o.  keyboard and touchpad flaky.  Tasksel does not have option for Flux in a Debian environment. I used apt.

I would recommend VSIDO with fluxbox  in a virtual environment to evaluate.

edit:  As Packrat mentions  VSIDO is unstable - sid .  That is why I would recommend a virtual kicking of the tires.

VSIDO is a solid choice if you don't mind running Debian Sid.

But they have been on hiatus for several months (health and other issues) so there will be a a large update after an install.
