Title: Changing desctop environment.
Post by: Linux_Newbi on February 23, 2014, 09:51:19 PM
Hi, me again, sorry,

Just wondering if it is possible to change desktop environment without losing all the sparky add-ons, I'm currently running ultra and  thinking of installing either xkcd of xfce(I'm good with this part). Of its easier I can just install the relevant sparky, but I'd prefer not to.

Of course, you can.

Be free installing any desktop you'd like.

But will I lose the conky and dock if I change?

Not sure about conky but why would you want docky if you are changing to xfce ?

No, you will not.

You just changing the desktop, but the rest of the stuff will be working in the same way as before.

Means conky and dock (wbar) will be still there.
