I recently made another attempt at using Sparky LXDE this time for a computer used at my TV as a video player.
I have not been able to find any settings that allow me to enable vsync. During movies the page tearing is horribly noticeable and annoying while scrolling web pages.
While I prefer vsync off for FPS games I need it turned on for everything else. Please help me with how to use vsync on Sparky.

Thank you for offering help but inxi and inxi -g are unknown commands.
While looking for an easier way to copy and paste the information on my video card from the Nvidia control panel I discovered a setting in VLC.
In preferences I changed the video output from automatic to OpenGL GLX and no more tearing on videos.
It would still be nice to have vsync on every where else like for scrolling websites and xscreensaver.
But Im pretty sure Sparky doesnt support OpenGL on the desktop.
