Title: Rolling updating
Post by: freedom2727 on August 04, 2020, 07:48:26 PM
Hi

I'm testing out the semi-rolling release (xfce).

I'm wondering when debian changes to a new version, would I have to fully reinstall sparky, or is it a matter of updating.

One of the reasons I'm attracted to sparkylinux is that I understand it has a rolling version - though not clear about what 'semi-rolling' means in practice.

Sorry for newbie question.

You run Testing/Bullseye?
Dist-upgrade should be possible in all cases.

About a month after debian release new sparkylinux release will become available and you as semi-rolling user will have a choice. Keep rolling as usual, or move to stable.
