Title: MEGA license.
Post by: AndyInMokum on May 17, 2016, 12:52:45 PM
Hi pavroo, how's it going.  I have a quick question regarding MEGA.  Over at Peppermint OS we're putting the final touches to the new release, Peppermint Seven.  We traditionally include the Dropbox client preinstalled.  It's come up in discussion about MEGA.  My question is.  Is it legal to install the client, or does it have to be the way you guys offer it, as an option?  If it is legal to install the client, could you possibly point me (us) in the dirrection of the the license and source code?  Your help is really very much appreciated - many thanks  ;).

It's good question, there is no a license inside the official  deb package.
Anyway, it's at the project's github:
https://github.com/meganz/MEGAsync/blob/master/LICENCE.md
And the full source code is available out there too.
