Title: New Sparky user having a bit of trouble finding things
Post by: gs49 on July 11, 2015, 08:40:33 PM
Hi, I am a new Sparky user and have just installed the lxqt edition. I am not new to Linux, though. Over the last 7 years I have done quite a bit of distro-hopping and burned quite a few live discs along the way. So I have tried quite a few Linux systems, but I have always stuck with the Debian family for my main systems.

Now I just decided to replace one of my Debian testing installations with something that does not use the Cinnamon DE, and the blurb on Distrowatch convinced me to try Sparky. I installed SparkyLinux 4.0 lxqt yesterday, and generally speaking I like what I see a lot and wish to extend my sincere gratitude to the developers.

However, I miss Conky, and so I have been trying to install it, but I cannot figure out how to add startup programs in lxqt. I am hoping that some one more familiar with lxqt than I am can point me in the right direction.

Thanks, gs49

Hi
Use Menu->  LXQt Settings-> Session Manager-> Autostart -> add what you need
