Title: Network icon in upper right corner.
Post by: pinkfloydfan on January 21, 2015, 12:20:01 AM
 :) Good job on this distro here. I have a question about the network icon up in the upper right corner of the screen. Is there any way to move this or auto hide it or even just get rid of it. I am tired of looking at it plus it covers my window buttons. Thank you in advance.

It's much better if you could provide more informations.
I guess you mean the icon at enlightenment spin.\
If so it is a lxde panel so can be configured if you click on it and use "Panel preferences" option, but can be difficult (it's too small).
The second way to change the settings is editing the file:
~HOME/.config/lxpanel/LXDE/panels/panel
and change two options:
edge=top
to: down if you do so
and:
autohide=0
change '0' to '1' if you'd like to autohide.

NOT A GOOD IDEA. I don't want to spend another few days posting and looking for "network problems" solutions again. We had a case like that some time ago. I've literally used all my knowledge to debug the whole installation via this very forum, because someone had NetworkManager problems (the icon didn't appear). Turned out he removed the traybar from the panel right after the installation and forgot about it. :D I don't want to go through this again in a few weeks. :P

@MoroS
By the way it's a good point.
