Installation / Instalacion
Last post by ppl1952 - September 07, 2025, 03:37:32 AM
Buenas noches.

Noticed a problem with Palemoon 33.8.2 when installed on sparky 8.0 xfce and minimalgui when launched it crashes pretty much immediately. The particularly odd part, at least to my mind is that when it crashes it logs out the user

I created a backup .iso file of my Sparky 8.0 system.
Then I used the USB Imager app to burn the .iso file
to a USB.
Then I tried to install it to a newly created ext4 partition.
It looks like the installation is going to complete but at
the last it displays a black screen with the message:

[0.073297] x86/cpu: SGX disabled or unsupported by BIOS.

BusyBox v1.37.0 (Debian 1:1.37.0-6+b3) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

Remastering / BUG in SparkyBackup in /etc/gr...
Last post by mrebello - September 01, 2025, 07:20:39 PM
In backupsystem, then part: (line 491)

cat $WORKDIR/tmpusers | while read LINE;
do
   echo $LINE | xargs -i sed -e 's/,{}//g' $WORKDIR/dummysys/etc/group > $WORKDIR/dummysys/etc/group.new1
   echo $LINE | xargs -i sed -e 's/{},//g' $WORKDIR/dummysys/etc/group.new1> $WORKDIR/dummysys/etc/group.new2
   echo $LINE | xargs -i sed -e 's/{}//g' $WORKDIR/dummysys/etc/group.new2 > $WORKDIR/dummysys/etc/group
   rm -rf $WORKDIR/dummysys/etc/group.new1 $WORKDIR/dummysys/etc/group.new2
   #grep 'autologin' /etc/group >> $WORKDIR/dummysys/etc/group
done

doesn't work for a user named 'x'. It's stripping all the 'x's' from the file, leaving a group 'Debian-eim' instead of 'Debian-exim' and 'proy' instead of 'proxy'.

I'm sorry, but I think I've made a mistake with the value.

Could you try again by changing the value?  ->  tpm_tis.interrupts=0

And please, see also:

Quote from: Linuxbeliever on August 28, 2025, 02:29:16 AM[....] So far I found out that there is a boot up loading service that gets stuck in loading at boot.

Have you tried disabling TPM completely?

To disable the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) from the kernel command line, you can add the parameter tpm_tis.disable=1 to your bootloader configuration.
This will prevent the TPM module from loading during the boot process.

Cheers !!
