I had to replace my power supply recently. Not turning off the computer for weeks at a time is part of the reason why the old one burned out, because if I suspend or hibernate, I get no image on the monitor when returning.
I think that the NVidia Drivers aren't being loaded. How can I get them to load when the computer is returned from being suspended or hibernated?
A Gigabyte NVidia GeForce GTS250 Graphics Adapter is installed on a Gigabyte X58A-UD7 MB v. 1 with a first generation i7.
I am running Sparky Ultra 64 bit.
Synaptic shows that ddm, libvdpaul & xserver-xorg-video-nouveau are installed. The nvidea-kernel-3.12-1-amd64 isn't.
Is my diagnosis likely to be correct? Any Suggestions? Could installing the nvidea-kernel-3.12-1-amd64 help?
TIA
You should find out what modules have been loaded already.
Just check the file /proc/modules
