Title: New to Sparky
Post by: Redj on December 20, 2019, 10:18:31 PM
Hello!
I've tried quiet a few lite distros to revive an old HPmini and it didn't do it...
Puppy was the best try. In the last week I've tried Lins-Lite; I'm not a geek... Bodhi... too buggy.
I finally tried Sparky and this is it! So far so good!
My test is this: I install Gimp, along with G'mic and try a 6Mb jpeg
(if everything worked fin, before.)
Here I am!
According with the limits of the Mini... it is Wow! It works smooth!
The HP-Mini in question as this:
Processeur: Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N450   @ 1.66GHz
Mémoire   : 2052MB (203MB utilisé)

Hi all,
and a happy new year! (its not to late ;-))

I use Sparky, because its very friendly with older Systems, Sparky runs on a 32Bit Machine with 2GB RAM and 150 GB HDD. I installed it from the LinuxWelt Magazin

And Yes, Im a bloody beginner, Linux (Debian) concerns.

Will soon post my Question, because Sparky runs good, but the boottime is very long.

Best regards, greets from Berlin
