Title: Username at login
Post by: TheFamousEccles on February 06, 2022, 06:15:24 AM
I maybe missing something, but I would like to have my username appear at login... single user system ... so all I have to do is type my password. I always disable auto-login. I am not exactly a newbie, been using Debian Linux (started with Sidux) for close to 20 years ::) , but this has me stumped.  :(

Looks like you have lightdm session manager, so edit the file:
nano /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
Find section:
[Seat:*]
and change:
#greeter-hide-users=true
to:
greeter-hide-users=false
Save the file.
