Anyone else finding Live USB Creator not working?
If your USB stick is bad, it won't work. I also found out that if the iso is at a NTFS file system it won't work as well, must be at ext partition (the iso file).
Also couldn't get Live USB Creator to work. Then used K3b & a blank dvd.
WoeUSB had no issues with a iso of that "other'' OS on the same usb......many thanks for that!
Please provide an output from the command:
remsu sparky-live-usb-creator
or (if the first failed):
sudo sparky-live-usb-creator
My result...I'm not the original poster!
$ remsu sparky-live-usb-creator
(gksu:9179): Gtk-WARNING **: 09:51:59.089: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "murrine",
dd: failed to open '/home/wombat/Downloads/sparkylinux-5.3-x86_64-multimedia': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/sparky-live-usb-creator: line 49: 9264 Killed $DIALOG $TITLE"$TITLETEXT" $TEXT"$LOCAL5\n" --no-buttons --progress --pulsate --auto-close --auto-kill
I see the problem now "/home/wombat/Downloads/sparkylinux-5.3-x86_64-multimedia': No such file or directory"
The file name is actually ''sparkylinux-5.3-x86_64-multimedia(1)' ....I cancelled the original download for a faster source. Thus the (1) !
Renamed the iso file to "sparkylinux-5.3-x86_64-multimedia" and it worked......thanks!!
K3b didn't have the same problem with the added (1)
