Title: Keyboard Layout
Post by: GBano on July 21, 2022, 09:46:40 PM
Hello,

I'd like to add/switch to another keyboard layout.
However under 'mouse and keyboard' there is no option in the settings. It only has settings for key response speed etc.

Where do I add another keyboard and set a short cut to switch between them?

It's an Openbox desktop.

Try:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration

Well, before I get deeper into it, I must ask: Where will this take me?
It produces a list of keyboards and layouts from which I am supposed to select.
However, the keyboard itself is correctly configured, but I would like to add another one to which I can switch when required (QWERTY to QWERTZ).
I often use CTRL+SHIFT for this switch.
I'm a bit concerned that this might change the current configuration of the existing keyboard without adding another one.
