Title: Printer Support on Sparky Linux
Post by: sillyboy on November 21, 2016, 11:23:13 PM
Hello all,

I'm thinking about installing Sparky Linux and wanted to know how the Add a printer driver to Sparky is supported.  I have a Samsung M2835DW.  I will not be using the W feature, just USB.
I would like to hear from others who have installed printer drivers, and found it: 1) easy, 2) not bad, 3) hard...
Also, is there LTS for Sparky?
I am using Ubuntu 12.04 right now.

Thanks

"man cups" from terminal or use a search engine on the web.  If it works in linux, it will work in Debian and therefore also in Sparky.

Also Debian testing and LTS  reminds me of military intelligence.  After stretch comes out there should be a stable sparky.

I use this site - local host 631in my chrome browser to install the same printer in Sparky KDE. It uses CUP's. I now have installed a FuJi Xerox P265dw. Both through USB and shared with the other linux & windows PC's at home
