Title: Switch from 32bit to 64bit without total reinstall?
Post by: PNWDrew on December 22, 2014, 07:35:40 PM

Is it possible to switch to a 64bit version after installing 32bit?  I might as well use my AMD 64bit processor to it's full capabilities.
Didn't have any good reason to install 32bit in the first place; actually I'm not sure why I did it.  It may have been just a stupid noob error when I chose which version to download.  I didn't even notice until I began trying to get PlayOnLInux working better.
If it is a complex migration I can reinstall, or is reinstalling just a better move anyway?
Data loss isn't a major concern.

Thanks
Drew

I suggest to backup your personal files and make fresh 64 bit installation.
