Just wondering if anyone can offer any suggestions, installed Sparky Stable on a netbook 2GB RAM / 32GB HD / Intel Atom z8350 and everything works fine though the battery s not detected. Really not sure what to do, tried to install Spark Testing with newer Linux kernel though same issue.
Everything else works however have no idea how to get the battery working. Any ideas would be great

Have tried rebooting with charger plugged in and also plugging it in, not detected. Added acpi=force to GRUB also did not work.
Could it be something related to DSDT do you think? Not sure just reading about it now new to Linux

Most likely some firmware issue. I guess this might be worth trying https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/DSDT#Tell_the_kernel_to_report_a_version_of_Windows
What's the make and model of your netbook?
Hi, sorry for the late reply a bit busy at the moment. Okay the make / model is at the URL below RCT Netbook (I live in Cape Town, South Africa). However I think it is a rebranded Innjoo Leapbook A100. It is a really cheap atom based netbook which comes loaded with Windows 10 however it runs really slowly, Sparky makes it run much better, however I am not able to get the battery to work. I did try and add the Windows OS to grub though this did not seem to make any difference. Not sure what other options there are. I can live it with though, the battery life is pretty amazing on it so not too worried.
