Title: How frequent are images updated?
Post by: py-thon on October 07, 2021, 05:14:54 PM
Last week I bought a PC with Intel Core i5-11400 and i915 Graphics knowing that it needs the 5.14 kernel to work. No problem, I thought, I already use that on my laptop with Sparky. I didn't realise that the change was recent and live media (Sparky as well as Debian) still contain kernel 5.10. So neither booting the live system nor installation are possible. How frequent are the images updated or when will there be an image with kernel 5.14?

Usually every 3 months, but a new kernel is up, so will try to updated rolling iso next week.

Sadly the new live system doesn't boot either. Secure boot is deactivated but it always (incl. no splash and failsafe) gets stuck at the line fb0: switching to inteldrmfb from EFI VGA
