Title: Package Manager
Post by: Oroborous82 on June 09, 2014, 02:28:54 AM
As the topic says, That is the only thing i would like to see different.  For some reason i just hate Synaptic Package Manager everything else is solid and i am sold.  This distro is just loaded with tons of stuff i was surprised. Great job guys. Pavoor is extremely dedicated person, he even helped me out with registering for this forum as i had some issues.

"some reason" is a bit vague; what bugs you about Synaptic Package Manager?

I'm the exact reverse.  I like Synaptic and dislike the "cartoonish" package managers...

Add my vote to keep Synaptic as the default package manager.  It isn't very pretty but it works very well.  I'm old-school enough that I just use apt-get for most package things but Synaptic helps when you're just looking for a category such as "RSS reader," so you don't get lost in man apt-get.

Synaptic is and will be the default package manager.

APTus is an additional app only as a front-end for console commands.
