Title: Changing desktop background

Having recently installed sparky linux mate 64bit. I did a full upgrade and can no longer change the background by right clicking the desktop. I select change the background but zilch- nothing happens. :-[t

Hi Looking at the system information it is Debian bullseye/sid using SMP Debian 5.10.19-1.
