Title: sparky and the SSL
Post by: paparucino on May 04, 2016, 07:23:15 PM
Hi all,
Im new at sparky, it seems a good distro (mainly because it uses openbox  8) ) but I have a problem with chrome.
I would like to use Chrome instead of Midori since this last is really really slow.
The problem is that every time I try to connect a HTTPS site I get a 107 error related to SSL certificates.
I use that chrome version on another distro without any problem, Midori and Firefox dont cause any issue. The modem/router is always the same :) so I would like to know if there is any issue related to the combo sparky-chrome, something I need to change.

Thank you in advance

Greetings from germany....

do you have this kind of error to any site? Or only special ones?

My guess: remove Chrome like this (as root)
apt-get remove --purge google-chrome
than
apt-get clean && apt-get autoclean && apt-get autoremove && apt-get -f install
than reinstall google-chrome and check after install if the use of SSL 2.0 and 3.0 are activated...
